How to Search Your AI Chat History Across Bots
To find an old conversation in aiwith, open Search chats in the sidebar, type a distinctive word from the message, and select a highlighted result. You can search across your saved bot conversations without remembering which bot you used. On a keyboard, Ctrl+K on Windows or Command+K on Mac opens the same search.
The scope matters: this searches conversations stored in aiwith. It does not search your separate accounts on ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Claude, or other services.
How do I search DeepSeek chat history in aiwith?
Use the same Search chats entry you would use for any other bot. The input says Search conversations across all bots. You do not need to open DeepSeek first or repeat the query in each bot's conversation list.
- Open Search chats from the sidebar, or use the keyboard shortcut.
- Enter a word or short phrase you remember from your question or the final answer.
- Select the matching snippet to return to its conversation and locate the original message.
Results show the bot, conversation name, and a snippet with the matching text highlighted. On desktop, the up and down arrows select a result; Enter opens it. On mobile, tap the result.
If you remember asking about a Python function called normalize_invoice, search for that identifier before trying a broad word such as Python. You are looking for text that actually appeared in a message.
Does search look inside messages or only at conversation names?
It searches message text: your questions and the AI's final answers. Conversation names help you recognize a result, but a title alone is not a substitute for a keyword from the message body.
This is a keyword search, not a request for the AI to infer which conversation you mean. Letter case does not matter. Start with one distinctive term; if you use a phrase, use wording that appeared together in the original message. The search input accepts up to 50 characters.
The AI's thinking or reasoning blocks are excluded. Multi-model comparison sessions are also excluded. For messages containing both text and images, use a term from the text rather than expecting search to read the image.
Why can I find a conversation on one device but not another?
By default, search checks chat history stored in the browser on the device you are using. A different browser or device can have a different set of local conversations.
When you are signed in and cloud sync is enabled, search also includes your conversations synced to the cloud. The empty search panel identifies the scope: Includes conversations synced to the cloud when cloud search is enabled; otherwise it explains that only this device is being searched.
Turning on cloud sync is not a promise to recover conversations that were never synced and are no longer stored locally. Start on the original browser if that is where the conversation still exists.
What should I do if there are no results?
Try a shorter, more distinctive term from your original question. A filename, project name, unusual error message, or variable name can work better than a summary of the topic. Check the spelling, then check whether you are searching the browser or account that holds the conversation.
Broad queries can produce a limited set of matches. Each conversation group shows only a few snippets, so refine your term if the specific message you want is not visible. A missing search result is not proof that the conversation was deleted.
Can aiwith find my old conversations on another AI website?
No. The cross-bot search described here covers your conversations inside aiwith, including chats with different bots there. It does not connect to or import history from your separate provider accounts.
If the conversation happened elsewhere, return to that original service. If it happened in aiwith, open aiwith and use Search chats to find the message and continue from its original context.
